Buddha Dream

This is called "Buddha Dream". Actually my first attempt at collage and I'm quite happy with it. I created this after my brother losing his fight with cancer and I needed bright colors and peace. That is what this painting/collage represents to me. I know you can't really see it but the crown is raised and embossed with metallic silver embossing powder. The lower right copper piece is an embossed piece of copper. Can you see the Lotus Flower? I just got back from taking my daughter to her first year of college! The house is empty so now I have to focus on working and creating! R.I.P. David. 08-23-65 to 08-20-08. You were the most amazing brother ever. I will miss your quick comments, your advise, your smile and emails. I won't miss your love, because I know that will never go away. I will only miss the physical of you being here. You were the smartest man I have ever known and the most generous and honest. You were the most amazing husband and father, a treat to watch. You helped me realize so many things in my life and about myself, even just recently. I know you will forever be on my shoulder. Anjelica's too. All my heart my little brother.

Santa Clara University

Well, my daughter and went to her orientation at Santa Clara University! What an exhaustive but most amazing 2 days! That school is incredible! Not to mention how gorgeous it is. Initially she was getting some cold feet, but to see the excitement on her face when we stepped foot through the main gate was worth millions. And the more of the orientation she went through the more in love with the school she is! This will be a huge change for both of us since it has always been the two of us as a team.............since the beginning. Now the road is filled with wonderful journeys for both of us! Go Broncos!

18th Birthday!

Today is my daughter Anjelica's 18th birthday! I can hardly believe it! I have to say that I have done a pretty darn good job raising her. She is beautiful, intelligent, thoughtful, generous, goal directed, happy, funny, loyal, stubborn, loving.............I could not have had a better child or best friend in my life! She is truly my best piece of "artwork".

It's 2008

Hey everyone, it's 2008 and I know that this is going to be a very amazing and successful year! My daughter is graduating this year......turning 18 this weekend. Both events are incredible to me! It is all bittersweet but I know it opens both of our lives up to fabulous new adventures!
